キーツは１８１８年夏、友人ブラウンと一緒に北方徒歩旅行をしています。 そこで体験したことがその後のキーツの詩作に大きな影響を及ぼしたことは間違いありません。 それまでキーツが経験していた、ロンドンと南イングランドの自然とはまったく異なる自然を体験することになります。 June 26 --- I merely put pro forma, for there is no such thing as time and space, which by the way came forcibly upon me seeing for the first hour the Lake and Mountains of Winander --- I cannot describe them --- They surpass my expectation--- beautifle water ---shores and islands green to the marge --- mountains all round up to the clouds."
Helm Crag グラスミアには頂上に大小の岩が飛び出ているように見える山、Helm Cragがあります。 キーツもこの山を見ました。"I have seen Kirkstone, loughrigg and Silver How --- and discovered without a hint 'that ancient woman seated on Helm Craig.'"
	wordsworthの住居Rydal Mount。キーツはここを訪問したが、ワーズワスは留守だった。"...after it proceeded to Wordsworths. He was not at home nor was any Member of his family --- I was much disappointed. I wrote a note for him and stuck it up over what I knew must be Miss Wordsworth's Portrait and set forth again..."
ロンドン
Londonはキーツが生まれ、死ぬ半年前にイタリア行きを命じられるまで住んだ場所。
大英博物館
ここに納められているアテネのパルテノン神殿から持ってこられた、いわゆる「エルギン・マーブル」。（キーツの当時は今のこの大英博物館はまだ無い） この馬の首はヘイドンが特に褒め称えていたものの一つ。
ハムステッド
ハムステッド・ヒースの丘から見た、ロンドンの町並み。キーツが「小高い丘の上で背伸びをして」見た風景はさていかに・・・ I stood tip-toe upon a little hill, The air was cooling, and so very still, That the sweet buds which with a modest pride Pull droopingly, in slanting curve aside, Their scantly leaved, and finely tapering stems, Had not yet lost those starry diadems Caught from the early sobbing of the morn. Th clouds were pure and white as flocks new shorn, And fresh from the clear brook ...
	Keats Houseへ行く道に「キーツ薬局」というのがありました。キーツの筆跡に似せた字で看板があって、キーツの肖像画も入り口に貼ってありました。
ハムステッド駅を降りてハイストリートを下り、キーツグローブという通りに曲がる所にある教会。

キーツが「驚異の年」を過ごした家が、博物館になっています。が・・・中はまだ改装中であまり見るものはありませんでした。
