DrTristanne.J.Connolly, assistant professor of St. Jerome's College, Waterloo University, Canada gave her lecture on Marriage, Mothers and Children in British Romantic Literature. She came to Japan for her joint research with Dr Steve Clark, Visiting Professor, The University of Tokyo. During her stay in Japan, she planned several lectures in Tokyo, Kobe, and Kitakyushu. (and more?)
Regarding a course lecture on English Literary History for undergraduates, she illuminated intelligibly a shift from seeing marriage as a diplomatic alliance to idealizing marriage for love.
After the lecture, we (Dr Connolly, Prof Clark, Prof Nishiyama and some pupils of Prof. Nishiyama) enjoyed our chat, having lunch at the restaurant, Seihokuno-kaze, in Waseda University.
